WHAT WE PUBLISH
We welcome original, unpublished submissions from Aotearoa New Zealand and Pacific writers, or work connected to the region by theme or setting. Australian work is occasionally included as a special feature.
- Poetry: up to 5 poems per issue
- Prose: up to 2 pieces (maximum 3000 words per piece, including endnotes)
- All submissions must be complete, stand-alone works
- We welcome work in te reo Māori, accompanied by an English translation
HOW TO SUBMIT
- Use the online submission form below.
- Submissions must be uploaded as a .docx file. Other file formats will not be accepted.
- If submitting more than one piece, please combine all pieces into a single file.
- File name must be in the format firstname_lastname.docx (e.g. alex_smith.docx).
- Include your name on every page of the submission.
- Include a short contributor bio (around 30 words).
DEADLINES
- 10 January (for May issue)
- 31 May (for October issue)
Submissions are accepted year-round and considered for the next issue.
Responses are sent after the content for each issue is finalised (March and September).
